Prof. Hong-Nan Li is the professor of Faculty of Infrastructure Engineering, Dalian University of Technology (DUT), China. He got the Ph. D. in 1990. He serves as Vice Chairman of China Panel, International Association for Structural Control and Monitoring; and Vice Chairman of Advanced Materials and Structures, ASCE Aerospace Division; Chairman of Panel of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). He is the member, the EU Academy of Sciences, 2019; fellow, American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), 2017; Specially Appointed Professor in «Cheung Kong Scholars Program», Ministry of Education, China, 2001; National Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars of China, 2000 an so on.
His research interests are in the Structural control and monitoring, Disaster prevention and reduction and Earthquake engineering. He got more than 30 research funds from governments and industrial companies, and applied for more than 70 practical engineering projects with his new techniques and methods. He has gotten more than 70 patents, and published 7 books and 400 journal papers, indexed in the SCI with more than 360. He got 3 national awards of Science and Technology and 10 provincial awards He is active in the international cooperation with the United States, Japan, Australia, Korea et al.
